Product Questions
What is Hemp Derived THC? +
Hemp-derived THC is chemically identical to the THC found in marijuana, it's the same Delta-9 THC molecule, that creates the euphoric, elevated feeling. The difference lies in where it comes from. Under U.S. law, hemp is defined as cannabis with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. That means if you extract THC from hemp (instead of marijuana) and keep the total amount within legal limits, it's considered federally legal.
At Lorea, we use naturally extracted Delta-9 THC from legal hemp plants, then blend it into our drinks in low doses designed to elevate your state of mind without overwhelming your system or breaking any rules.
Is This Legal? +
Yes! Lorea beverages are legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, which federally legalized hemp and its derivatives, including Delta-9 THC, as long as the final product contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. We carefully formulate every beverage to meet that requirement, using lab-tested hemp-derived THC and rigorously vetted ingredients to ensure our products are compliant, safe, and consistent.
That said, while it's federally legal, each state has its own laws and regulations around hemp-derived THC. Some states restrict or prohibit its sale or use. We recommend checking your local laws before purchasing or traveling with our products.
Are Our Products Third-Party Tested? +
Yes, every batch of Lorea is third-party tested for potency, purity, and safety. For full transparency, please visit our Lab Results page to see exactly what's in each batch we produce so you can sip knowing it's both safe and legal.
What is a Cannabinoid? +
Cannabinoids are natural compounds found in the cannabis plant that interact with your body's endocannabinoid system—a built-in network that helps regulate mood, sleep, appetite, focus, stress, and more.
Here's the wild part: your body actually makes its own cannabinoids, called endocannabinoids. They're so essential that they even show up in human breast milk, where they help newborns develop and stimulate appetite. In other words, this system is part of us from the very beginning.
While cannabis is the most well-known source, cannabinoids (or cannabinoid-like compounds) are also found in other plants, like:
- Cacao (yes, chocolate)
- Black pepper
- Echinacea
- Truffles
- Even broccoli and carrots
The most familiar cannabinoids include THC, CBD, CBG, CBN.
What is the Difference Between THC, CBD, CBG, and CBN? +
These are all cannabinoids, natural compounds found in the cannabis plant that interact with your body's endocannabinoid system. Each one has its own personality and purpose:
- THC (Delta-9) – The classic one. It's what gives you that elevated, euphoric buzz. We keep the dose low and balanced in Lorea for a gentle, feel-good experience.
- CBD (Cannabidiol) – The chill-out cannabinoid. It doesn't get you high, but it helps you relax, recover, and reset.
- CBG (Cannabigerol) – Known as the "mother cannabinoid" because it's the precursor to others. It's thought to support focus, mood balance, and inflammation relief.
- CBN (Cannabinol) – The wind-down cannabinoid. It's often associated with rest, relaxation, and better sleep, making it a natural fit for our Sleep blend.
At Lorea, we combine these cannabinoids intentionally in different formulas so whether you want to vibe, focus, energize, or snooze, there's a blend to match your mood.
Will It Make Me Paranoid or Anxious? +
Not likely. Our formulas are low-dose and carefully balanced to create a smooth, enjoyable experience. But everyone's body is different. If you're new to THC or know you're sensitive to it, we recommend starting low and going slow. Maybe half a can to begin with.
Will I Fail a Drug Test? +
Yes, you might. Even though our THC is hemp-derived and federally legal, drug tests don't distinguish between THC from hemp and THC from marijuana. Most standard tests are designed to detect any form of THC, so consuming our products, even in small amounts, can result in a positive test.
If you're subject to drug testing for work, sports, or any other reason, we recommend avoiding THC products altogether, just to be safe.
What are Adaptogens and Botanicals, and Why Do We Use Them? +
Adaptogens and botanicals are plant-based powerhouses that support your body and mind in natural, functional ways.
- Adaptogens (like L-Theanine or Panax Ginseng) help your body manage stress and stay balanced, promoting steady energy, focus, and mood support.
- Botanicals include herbs, roots, flowers, and spices that offer functional benefits beyond flavor—enhancing the overall effect and experience of each drink.
We pair them intentionally with cannabinoids to create well-rounded formulas that work with your body's natural systems so you feel good, grounded, and in control. Some of the adoptogens and botanicals we use are below.
